SpringHill Suites Oakland Airport

So I should’ve checked Trip Advisor for the reviews because the ones on Booking and ******* make this place sound great. The hotel is okay and the room was a nice size and even clean when I walked in. However, if I had known that housekeeping doesn’t come by at all until the third day, I wouldn’t have booked my 2 nights here. For the price I paid, anywhere else I’ve gone, I always have my bed made, trash taken out and my used towels refreshed when I return in the evening. So disappointing to find my room not serviced when I came back, and when I called the front desk they said I could go get towels up front and didn’t offer an explanation or even to bring them up. Overall the front desk was polite, and when I asked if it was normal to come back and find my room like that, he explained how housekeeping doesn’t come by every day. But I was still really disappointed that the service expectations are set so low. Not a very good value and now that I know, I’m never booking with Spring Hill or Marriott again if I can avoid it and instead go where they take better care of customers.

We had a great stay for one night. Price was excellent and close to Oakland/Alameda area. We also left an item in the room and the staff was super helpful in retrieving it and holding it for us.
